Why it matters
Serious health events can create financial pressure fast.
How benefits can help
Cash can be used where the need is most urgent.
Health insurance may help with covered medical bills, but it does not always solve the financial strain around a diagnosis. Critical Provider Plus is designed to help relieve potential stress by providing covered cash benefits you can use for practical needs.
-
Medical bills
Help with deductibles, co-pays, and costs not fully handled by primary insurance.
-
Treatment choices
Use benefits toward experimental treatments, surgeries, or second-opinion expenses.
-
Lost income
Replace part of the income gap when recovery keeps you or a caregiver away from work.
-
Household costs
Keep up with mortgage, car payments, travel, lodging, and other family needs.
Covered conditions
Two benefit categories can expand the value of the policy.
Critical Provider Plus may pay up to two times for separate, unrelated diagnoses in each category. Benefits reduce by 50% on the member's 65th birthday.

Optional riders
Customize the policy around the gaps you want to address.
Riders can add more targeted protection. Availability may vary by state, and some riders are not available in every state.
Return of Premium Rider
Can return premiums paid, minus benefits paid, upon the insured's death at any age. Not available in all states.
Hospitalization Benefit Rider
Can pay a daily hospital confinement benefit from $100 to $500 per day for 3, 5, or 10 days after an illness or accident.
Precision Care Rider
Can provide access to TGen genomic sequencing and individualized treatment recommendations after a covered cancer diagnosis.
Accident Rider
Can add accident medical expense, emergency air ambulance, and accidental death and dismemberment benefits. This rider is not available in every state.
Precision support
Extra guidance can matter after a cancer diagnosis.
With the optional Precision Care Rider, GTL has partnered with TGen to help eligible insureds access genomic sequencing and individualized treatment recommendations after a covered cancer diagnosis. This can support a more informed conversation with a treating physician.
Rider benefits and services are subject to the rider terms, eligibility, and state availability.
Example scenario
One policy can help through more than one covered event.

Emily received $100,000 and used the Precision Care Rider for sequencing and treatment recommendations.
She received another $100,000 after a separate covered Category 1 diagnosis.
She received $25,000 for a covered Category 2 condition, helping with travel and support during recovery.
For example purposes only. Premiums and benefits vary by coverage, age, rider selection, eligibility, and certificate terms.
